Chalet Lou Rider is well placed as a stopover for walkers on the GR10 route. It
is also a good base for anyone wishing to explore the area be it on foot,
bicycle or car and offers direct access to a variety of walking and hiking
tracks.
The mountain road forming an 11km ascent from Saint Lary Soulan to Plat d´Adet
and passing just below Chalet Lou Rider, is a popular challenge for committed
cyclists and every few years forms the toughest stage of the Tour de France.
There are many other activities in the area such as rafting, canyoning,
climbing, horse riding, paragliding and thermal baths. Professional guides or instructors can be arranged for all activities if booked in advance. Please ask for further information.
