Chalet Lou Rider is located at Saint Lary 1900 "Espiaube" from where a chair and bubble lift take skiers directly to the ski fields at Saint Lary 2400 where the more experienced skiers will find plenty to amuse them. Guests can ski back to the chalet which sits at the base of the 3.6km Mirabelle, one of the longest runs in the Pyrenees descending some 700m.
St Lary 2400 This is the main ski area for the more experienced skiers with a good variety of blue, red and black runs. It also has a snow park with a slalom and mogul field, a track for cross country skiers and access to walks around the beautiful Lac de l´Oule which winter visitors can explore on snow shoes.
Lift passes One day passes can be bought in the chalet at the same price for which they are on sale at the ticket offices. For longer durations, there is a ticket office at Espiaube a few metres from the chalet where passes can be bought. Prices for this season's ski passes will be sent with your booking details or on request.
Equipment Hire Skis, boots, snowboards and snow shoes can be hired close to the chalet. Guests staying at the chalet receive a 15% discount on the prices advertised in the shop. Ask on arrival at the chalet for further information.
Ski school and ski guides Private or group lessons can be organised through the ESF (French Ski School) at Espiaube. Early booking is recommended during high season. There are also a number of independent instructors available for private lessons.
Ski guides can also be arranged to show skiers and snowboarders around on the mountain, or take visitors snow shoeing. Professional guides or instructors can be arranged for all activities if booked in advance. Please ask for further information. |
